Bank of Georgia’s Foundation “Tree of Life” announces the 5th grant competition. Social enterprise projects will be financed within the open grant competition for promotion of social issues, employment of people with disabilities and social entrepreneurship.

The purpose of the grant competition is to solve social issues by promoting successful social enterprises in Georgia and developing social entrepreneurship.

Within the grant competition framework there will be financed projects of social enterprise having double goals: economic and social, where social is most importantThe economic goal should only be the means of achieving a second, more important - social goal.

The success of the project will be measured by its contribution to the solution of the social problem for which it was created. Its scale may vary from a rural community store to a large construction firm, but, regardless of a scale, a social enterprise shall demonstrate how social responsibility and financial success can merge.

  • public organizations;
  • initiative groups;

We would like to remind you that in the competitions announced in the past years, the total of 15 projects of social enterprise were selected and financed at about 650,000 GEL. A part of the enterprises financed within the grant competition are already in operation and a part will be commissioned by the end of 2018: in Lagodekhi, Tsnori, Nukriani, Saguramo, Kaspi, Garikula, Batumi and Tbilisi.
